What Would I Write About?

Writing is a fun passtime and sometimes you can even make money doing it if you can find the right publisher and the right audience.

The question, now, is "What should I write about?"

The easy answer is "write what you know." another good response would be to write a book you would like to read.

After all, we are most enthusiastic about those things we have interests in. Many people write self-help books that are based upon something they have experienced and come through. They are great because there is nothing better than "been there, done that" advice, right?

If you like the Civil War and fiction, write about that. If you prefer the obscure, write a science-fiction or fantasy novel.

There are no rules in writing. It is an art. If you have the natural born talent, or if you are just wanting to practice to improve your skills, then you should write.

It does not matter *what* you write, just that you do.
